Creating the pitch deck…
(Want a pitch deck? Contact me here.)
After arriving into Boulder from Corfu, Greece via New Jersey where I picked up a vehicle, it became clear suddenly… you know how that is? You just wake up, have breakfast as usual, and sometime mid morning everything changes. Sometimes a major change, sometimes subtle but far reaching. Well this was one of those subtle but far reaching insofar as my whole approach with the Little Witch is coming from a different direction.
I’m not only sending the book out to book awards and contests for new authors (let us not forget this is my first fiction book), but I am sending the Little Witch out to Hollywood to sound the depths if there is interest in the story as a script, aka. an IP (intellectual property).
Since movies are a visual medium, that’s how one pitches them, and the “pitch deck” is the mainstay of how that’s done. What would the Little Witch Adventures look like?
Think The Spiderwick Chronicles meets The Secret World of Arrietty. This is fun, I get to compare my little story to one of the films coming ou of the studio of one of the greatest directors to walk on planet earth… Hayao Miyazaki. Why not?
